As a teacher in the future, data collection and reporting will be an invaluable part of my career. Since I am planning on being an elementary teacher, I will likely have to teach all four of the core subjects. This means that being able to collect data related to my students understanding of content will be useful to determine my own effectiveness as an instructor. Also, the reporting aspect could be useful for monitoring test scores and other grades in the class. Moving on, the semester is coming to an end and I am happy to report that this course has taught me invaluable skills related to using technology to better supplement my future teaching practices.
